A Sealed "Back to the Future" VHS Tape Sold for Record $75,000

A sealed "Back to the Future" VHS tape sold for $75,000, which was a record. It belonged to the actor who played Biff and even included a handwritten note from him.

A sealed "Back to the Future" VHS tape just sold for $75,000. But it wasn't just any ol' unopened VHS tape . . . this one belonged to TOM WILSON . . . you know, BIFF. (!!!)

This set a record for the highest price ever paid at an auction for a sealed VHS tape. But this one came with a signed note from Tom. It read, quote, "This is a first release of 'Back to the Future', sent to me by the studio at that time . . .

"Since I knew that the VHS platform would be around forever, I saved it for later and now I can't find a VCR. Oh well. Enjoy!"

The tape was part of a first-of-its-kind VHS-only auction. 260 tapes were sold including a copy of "The Goonies" for $50,000 and "Jaws" for $32,500.
